Envu strategic commitment to biodiversity protection and restoration
Envu Senior Science Fellow Harry Quicke participated in the 2023 World Biodiversity Summit during Climate Week in New York City, joining a panel on “Reimagining Forests” alongside industry key actors, global leaders from the UN, and Nia Tero. Representing over 2,400 attendees, the event spotlighted Envu’s role in biodiversity restoration through its vegetation and pest solutions for managed landscapes and its strategic expansion into natural area restoration, including forests and grasslands. Leveraging expertise in tree plantation management, Envu is helping scale native forest restoration efficiently, particularly in Brazil, where it supports the government’s goal to restore 12 million hectares by 2030. Envu is also the first to register an herbicide specifically for native forest restoration—enhancing tree survival, reducing invasive species, and protecting against fire and grazing. This work underscores Envu’s commitment to biodiversity and education on responsible land stewardship.
